COERR Church-based Volunteer Groups under Bangkok Archdiocese was established by His Eminence Michael Cardinal Michai Kitbunchu and Bishop Joseph Pibul Visitnondachai since August 12, 2000 on the occasion of the Feast of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (Pak Lat) in Samut Prakan Province with the Spiritual Objective of “Loving and Serving our Suffering Brothers and Sisters in Christ”.
As 22 years has passed, the mission of the COERR’s Church-based Volunteer Groups has been implemented through challenges and become even consistently stronger.
So far, there are 23 Church-based and 1 School-based Volunteer Groups in 10 Provinces in Bangkok Archdiocese, with 292 volunteer members, as follows:

The mission of COERR Volunteer Groups in Bangkok Archdiocese is mainly in accordance with the monthly significant calendar activities, i.e.
- January: To praise children who behave good, are studious; and poor children who try hard to make a living
- February: To campaign for family relationship and matrimony
- March: To praise women who take leadership in working hard and doing good things
- April: Gratitude Day is set, to praise gratitude sons and daughters, and also elderly who are role model of their community
- May: Environment Day is held to campaign on protecting environment, saving energy and keeping one’s house clean
- June: To organize Volunteer Groups Gathering to raise funds for Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus School (Singburi) which provides education to 340 students with free tuition
- July: To campaign in schools in which COERR Volunteers are familiar, in order to raise funds by means of rice and foodstuff for the poor and needy people
- August: To organize COERR volunteer group annual gathering on the occasion of anniversary of establishment
- September: To encourage activities of youth to join COERR volunteers.
- October: To launch Rosary prayer campaign at home or to join a team to pay home visits to pray with other COERR volunteer members.
- November: To join COERR Foundation’s Annual Gratitude Day.
- December: To launch annual mobile team visiting hilltribes centers, joining Christmas and distributing gifts for the poor villagers.
On the occasion of 22nd Anniversary of establishment of COERR Volunteer Groups, Bangkok Archdiocese, COERR Volunteer Committee will organize a ceremony on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, (Pak Lad Church) in Samut Prakan Province, where the Volunteer Group Activity was established.
The activities on the Day will include Handing-over Ceremony of Certificate of “Hard Working Mother”, inviting participants to join the “Funds for Funeral of the Poor”, etc.
